National Park takes its name from a word from Pare tribe denoting scoop of water, referring to little water.

Day 15 & 16

Mkomazi national park is located on the Northeastern Tanzania in the Kilimanjaro region and Tanga region. The name originates from Pare tribe meaning a scoop of water that explains the little water found in the area. Mkomazi National park is the only park in Tanzania where by you are sure of seeing the Rhinos. The Rhinos are protected from poachers by staying in a sanctuary constructed in the park. Mkomazi is a very quiet park, nor crowded and it gives you a break from too many cars you have seen in other parks. The park has beautiful views of the Usambara and Pare hills, which are evergreen throughout the year. Your 2 nights here will be the best way of ending your safari experience in Tanzania.
